Default Power with engine removed?

I have my engine out at the shop and I'm trying to finish up some interior and door issues and need to put the windows down and get dash lit up .I hooked the battery up and tried grounding some of the some of the wires on the frame but I cant get it to come alive. Am I missing something ? Thanks

Many of the internal power wires in you year come from the starter solenoid stud
Need to bolt all the wires that came off that stud together and insulate

Be careful not to accidently ground any of these wires. DC the battery first, bolt the red wires up, then connect the battery. Make sure you ground the wires on the driver's side bellhousing.

Still having trouble have negative battery cable connected to woven ground to frame and what I believe to be "all" red wires bolted together still nothing seems dead. I know battery has charge, any help would be great

Open your fuse panel and check for 12v on the window circuit breaker and the rest of the fuses to ground..

For the hatch, are the interior lights coming on?? The hatch gets its ground from the delay timer on the lights. For the dash, what specifically, are you putting the key to run??

You DO understand that there are a doz or more GROUNDS? right?

The MOST important of ALL are the 4 or 5 black wires that used to bolt to the engine block just over the oil filter. That's all the interior harness grounds.
Get those on something and find the other loose wires and just clamp 'em to the frame.

Be sure the jumper pole has all of its positive wires secure...behind the battery. Those are all red or orange. The ONE battery ground CABLE is not as important as all those little 14/16ga black wires....

The main ground for the hatch and most if not all of the dash is G101, on the hinge pillar behind RH side of I/P. Because the windows and radio work it would appear that this ground is present. For the hatch this ground goes through the delay light timer..
