door light '87

Default door light '87

the bulb is out on the drivers side door of my '87

how do i change it? i dont want to break anything "learning" how to do it.

From another forum:

"The interior courtesy lights are located in the remote control plates of either door. To remove the bulb...

Remove the armrest and the remote control plate from the door trim panel.

Pop out the interior courtesy light housing from the remote control plate.

Pry loose the front end of the lens from the housing with a small screwdriver. (It's hinged at the rear. )

Remove the bulb.

Installation is the reverse of removal."

I couldn't get it apart because the windshield wiper switch was in the way. I ended up taking off the door panel.
