Beginning to fit my new beautiful Melrose headers.I also have NEW fuel lines from In-Line bent exactly like originals.TRouble is the clearance between the new header and stock fuel line location inside the framerail is MUCH smaller. When I add the exhaust gasket i'd likely have an interference fit or very close.Packaging is an issue on this side of engine so I gotta be careful/w routing.
Thinking the bend that goes down behind might straighten and move the line forward and down around the upright of the K member.
I am sure others have dealt/w this issue and i'd like advice so I can form a solution

I was looking at my stock fuel lines with stock exhaust on my 90 and noticed that the fuel line touches the air tube from the exhaust at around the same location as far as I now its been that way from new and now has 173+k on it I am thinking of bending the fuel line and placing a peace of header rap between them maybe you could do the same thing.
Well that's unfortunate.Guess i'm on my own.Gonna try hacking up my new fuel lines today.I have a good tubing bender.Going to try and persuade the lines on top of the frame member.IF I can bend them better i'll then send the lines back to "IN-LINE" to be re-made.
With the popularity of long tube headers I expected more input, sorry
Do you have room to massage them out of the way? If they only need to be moved a 1/4 of an inch, you should be able to gently change the location without a bender. A large screwdriver should be your friend.
The biggest trouble is they're made to go on the INSIDE of the framerail.THAT puts them too close to #2 pipe.I tried initially today to massage the bend that initiates downward.THinking I need the pipes ON TOP of the framerail THEN down AT and around the K Member.I don't mind destroying this new set IF it leads to better bends and success. Really BUMMED out.I've stayed bone stock until these headers. Now I need to be careful/w all of the congestion in THIS area of the engine.I may lop off the S-curve section to be able to bend up to the K member. It's the little details like this that make a project YEARS long.
