R-12 Production

I received some interesting information that I can't verify.

Is R-12 still made in the Asian countries?
Do they have a ban on it as the US does?

Still readily available in Tijuana as far as I know - whether or not it's fresh from the Factory is anyone's guess. Walk across the Border and pay a handful of Pesos per can. Make that there's something close to English on the can that says Dupont.

R-12 production is halted but it can still be purchased on eBay. "Old stock" is still available in the USA

Also available is "used" R12 removed from older cars, refrigerators, and
home AC units. That's financial model behind "$25 for your old work

This is very true. And every old A/C guy with an old car has some "private stock" ...60# or so
