The car now idles at 1000 rpm which is a little odd it wasnt doing that before. And on my scanner it looks like its running lean because the blms are high it also had a huge knock count of like 64 so im assuming its to lean. Not to worry i didnt hurt the motor i run 93 octane and wasnt beating on it to hard.

My new question is do i need a different tune or an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? And i guess i just need to do the idle reset procedure and should i reset the computer now that i got the o2 sensor working?
64 knock counts over a 20 minute drive is normal. What are the blm counts?

I took it for another drive tonight with out the scan tool. It actually felt really really good so i think its fine. I'll look at the blms in the morning.

Im thinking if they tuned your car while you had this problem, then they tuned your car to compensate for this problem.. In other words they tuned the car originally around this problem, now that you got the O2 sensor straightend out and working correctly ,they may have to "tweek" the tune to get it right....This is why my tuner wanted to make sure everything on my car was funtioning properly before he started tuning....WW

This was completely a mail order tune. I just filled out an order sheet and he tuned it so there would have been no way for him to have tuned around this problem. I do think its fine now as long as the knock count is normal the car is way easier to drive now i think its finally working.

So basically my whole problem was the wire that goes to the ecm from the o2 sensor was wired to my ground for the heated part. Once i did some extra digging i found out that these universal o2 sensor have three wires. Two the same color and one different. The two that are the same are the color is the ground and power. It doesnt matter which is which. The different colored wire actually goes to the ecm. I tried a new sensor and it had the exact same problem. Once i wired it right and drove the car around a little the problem was fixed. I've never had this car running so smoothly even with the ac on. Thanks for all your help guys this car rocks now
