Hooker Header Back Bolt Psngr Side Tip
I finally wound up getting a 3/4" long hex head allen bolt. It took a 5/16" allen wrench. Now, I thought that would be the end of it but there still isn't enough room to get anything on the bolt. So I crafted a tool out of an old 5/16" allen wrench I had. I cut a 2.5" long segment and then stuck it in the head of the bolt. I then used a 5/16" open end wrench to turn it, much like you would use a spark plug socket with a 3/4" wrench to turn it. It took me a couple of minutes this way, once I had the tool made. The tool must be 2.5" long. if you are 1/4" longer it won't fit in the space, and if you are 1/4" shorter it won't be long enough to give you space to put the wrench on it because it won't come out far enough past where the primary header tube turns downward.
On the other side on the back bolt I used a steel tubing spacer supplied with the headers with a stock bolt from the original manifolds. This was much more straight forward.
I hope this helps somebody else. Other than that, both sides were really a breeze as far as headers go.
