Is there any suggestions to prevent the IRS from breaking?
I think you will probably be ok if it is used as a street car. You start running into problems with the IRS set up when you drag race using sticky tires.
The stock ZF should be fine in your application. The factory rating of 450 torque is continous, if you are hitting it with a nitrous shot to 600 for short term acceleration it will be fine.
I agree with you Jonnymac... things start to let go if they are not built right... I have seen many trannys go when not built... its better to over kill your tranny and diff and under power your motor ...you can kick on it all day and it will hang ... I am activity seeking a solution and I wont push my luck with a stock tranny... I will have another chat with Rockland today
