Omg , What part don't you understand . My car runs fine. I can put everything back together and keep messing with the key. And the car will start fine. And run fine. I needed a simple answer . Which I guess you and your 35 years of experience couldn't answer. So your trying to make it into something else. Next time Ill just search the internet better. And leave you know it all's (or so you think) to yourselves . And I plan to install the vats override.

Im happy you know how to use google vats sucks has been around for a while. I really not sure what your problem is I know myself and seems like others really never understood your question. I though your question was will vats shut off a car and the answer is and will always be no. I doubt if you can get the answer you want once you start rigginng stuff whitch that appears the way your car is. You say you know your car and vats have been a problem with it forever. If you know your car so well why would you not fix it correctly instead or rigging it, Again Vats is a pretty simple thing that rerely fails and if it does it is easly dianoised and repaired. People usally put things down because they do not understand something and that is the case with vats. It aamazes me that people think GM would be capaible of putting cars and trucks out there for about 10 yrs or so that has a system that fails all the time. I hope you have your answer a get your car running. Just so you know the so call vats override with the resistors only bypasses 1 part of the system. I is close to impossible to bypass the whole system. If you know your car why not fix it right repair the vats fault and not rig the thing.
