93 gas mileage display
Guys,
My MPG display is jumping all over the place. First shows 100 MPG the 12 MPG jumping from one ridiculous figure to another.
Just to give a little history I recently installed a reman computer and a new battery. It has about 80K on the clock and is in excellent condition. Runs great.
Any ideas? Is this a common problem?

Instantaneous fuel economy
Average fuel economy
or fuel range
Pressing the button a fourth time will blank the display.
Fuel Reset Button. This button resets the system in order to accurately
compute your fuel economy and range. Press the button after refueling.
My guess is you're displaying instant mileage.
Did iit ever work after you swapped the computer?

Thank Guys, The car was a close friend of mine who reciently passed away. So, I don't know if it acted like this before he installed the new computer. He just got it back on the road last fall just before putting it away for the winter. So it wasn't driven much since then.
Makes sense that it is reading the instant gass mileage. I will reset it and let you know.
