Default Checking gm HEI 8 pin module

How do you check the module of an GM HEI 8 pin ? Any procedures ?

I seem to have a dead module here.

I think autoparts stores (Autozone etc) have ways to check the 7 pin module I would just buy a spare. Over the years if I feel I have an ignition problem, I swap the module out to eliinate that possibility. They are not that expensive. I use the Accel hipo modules.

Ok, seems I connected the wiring wrong at the coil.

But now I seem to have a spark alternatingly firing at TDC and then at 90°
