I just pulled this opti off my car...

the k member, the accessory brackets, timing cover, power steering pump.. all covered in what appears to be a red mud. Was it in a flood? Then I pull this gem off.. hardly looks like 142k.. I was planning to replace it because i have a code 16, The car never seemed to miss up high rpm.. but with the AC on it stumbled and missed for a few mins untill warmed up then cleared up. but after looking at the spark plug wires I wonder if they have 142k on them

Doesnt look like anyone has wanted to touch the driver side wires in a long time.

Im a little unsure what to do now, could this guy be ok? I have the motor apart for other reasons so dont think I pulled the opti on a blind eye.

That's just normal crud that builds up over time from driving the car. It's a combination of dirt, oil and moisture.

its not pictured, I have seen normal build up.. there is more here then normal.
