Default AC problem??

1994 coupe, AC is nice and cold and the heat works fine. However
I noticed the other day when using the ac, I slid the temp control
to the right to add alittle less ac. (was to cold LOL). I noticed
vapor (smoke) coming out of the ducts! I added more heat and it
went away. I repeated the problem a number of times, going from
cold to mid range on the slide towards heat. Other than that I can't say anything is wrong with the AC/Heater. I am guessing maybe the
Condenser maybe bad????
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
P.S. It is quite humid here this time of year (Florida, Tampa area)
But It doesn't happen in my Kia Optima. So I am thinking?? Problems????

check your condensation drain make sure it is clear. I would not get overly conserned about it. Have seen this hundrends of times on different cars it just takes the right things to come together for this to happen, Sorta like the perfact storm lol

The condenser is in front of the radiator. The evaporator is in the cabin HVAC ducts.

I would think you're more likely to have a leak in the heater core.

BUT there's cause for concern

You do need to do the condenser drain clean or make sure it's clear. Mold can become an issue in evaporator cases on the evaporator. Very common in your location I would think. The drain I believe is easily accessed by removing the right fender panel, you can likely reach it but not see it from under the hood.

I wouldn't think a heater core issue "unless" you can actually smell the coolant, '94 I believe wasn't Dexcool yet so if you could see it "you would" smell it.

I agree with checking the E/vap drain, on the other hand Cold dry air hitting most air will cause a vapor trail, and I have seen this myself.
