Need a new fuel pump for a 1984, anyone have a preference? Where can should I order it from? I read somewhere to replace it with an 85 fuel pump.
Is your engine stock or modified?
Here's what I bought and installed in my '85 C4 LS1 (roughly 325hp) http://www.ebay.com/itm/300937556449...U:3160&vxp=mtr
255lph, quiet, complete (kit), delivered to your door for just $50USD.
Only thing, you'll have to modify a couple wires because the plug wouldn't fit into the original.
(In case you don't know: First make sure that it's okay for your C4 to be pumping out 255lph out of the tank to your engine. There's a rule-of-thumb formula out there [which I can't remember.. something about 30% max] about calculating fuel volume to horsepower... gotta make sure it's not pumping too much fuel otherwise the fuel heats up and your engine detonates...)
My 90 coupe also needs a fuel pump. I'm buying a Delphi from Rockauto. $52.79. PN# FE0110. Strainers from $3.50 to $5.20. You can get a 5% discount by using the code on their website. The fuel tank gasket seal is a Bosch PN# 68238 for $11.57.
when you take it out, and see how nasty the sending unit is too, you'll want the whole thing...corvette central has a nice stainless complete..pump is not as good as those walbro 255's...
Looks like I am going with Delphi. My vehicle sometimes hesitates when accelerating from a stop and after I take it for a drive and it heats up it stalls. I can start it right back up but it keeps stalling until I let it cool down. I assumed it was a fuel pump issue. What do you guys think? Its a stock motor

My belief is that it's not the pump. You can go to any parts store and get it. Nothing special about it
