I just installed the HyperTech coil/cap/rotor for a boost to 53kV, and up to high RPM. This with a good set of wires and plugs provides solid spark up to the L98 rev limit and beyond.

All the wire colors are the same. The plugs are different, and the pin locations are reversed. I cut the plugs of a donor vehicle that I got the distributor from. Then I cut the plug off the original distributor and soldered the two together watching the wire colors. That way I didn't cut the cars harness. There's a 2 wire harness that connects the distributor and the coil. Get that from the donor vehicle. Then the power/tach plug for the coil will get soldered to the other connector for the external coil. Once again, match up the colors.
