Hey there I have my C4 and i just can't seem to get cool-cold AC! It's filled up to the correct amount of refrigerant and the AC compressor runs! So I'm clueless of what it could be. The AC is cool during cool weather but barley cool during the heat. It never gets cold tho? If anyone can help, that's be great! Thanks!
Might have debris between the radiator and condenser. Or in front of the radiator itself...or both! Also, just because the compressor is running, may not mean its running correctly.
The link for the hot/cold door can be broken. You can listen to hear if the hot/cold motor is moving when you have the KEY ON...and change the temps from 60 to 90 degrees. You can remove the close out panel on the passenger side and listen and sometimes be able to see and feel it move. Even though the motor is moving...if it is not moving the threaded rod that ACTUALLY ATTACHED TO moves the door inside your heater box from the heater core to the evaporator core...you are fighting a losing battle. BEEN THERE BEFORE.
If the motor is NOT moving...then it is HIGHLY PROBABLE that it is the controller mounted up by your accelerator pedal. Not FUN to service.
Have you taken it to someone who knows AC....you did not write that you know about AC..so I am guessing that you do not.
You did write that you have the 'correct amount' of refrigerant in it. which would tell me that you pull all the old refrigerant out and then put in the correct amount. IF you did not do that...then you really do not know how much you have in it. An having too much in it can effect the way it works.
The evaporator core can be blocked or plugged with 'stuff'....which can effect the air flow across it and also the air flow in the car.
