Ive just done a routine check for any codes that may have occurred recently and I'm getting the following:
PO133 BANK 1 HO2S SLOW RESPONSE
PO135 BANK 1 HO2S HEATER CKT
PO420 BANK 2 CATALYST MONITOR FAULT
P1133 BANK 1 HO2S SWITCH FAULT
The two O2 sensors on the right bank were renewed a year ago but the left one wasnt, I have our annual safety check due and Im planning to replace the cats before that anyway, last year the emissions were borderline and that was just after the sensors were replaced, would renewing the cats and the left hand sensor put things right or is there anything else that needs doing?
A rule of thumb is that all O2s should be replaced at the same time. Much like spark plugs.
As for the cats, how many miles on the car? OEM cats run past 125k miles...
PS: My Mom is from Ipswich.
Hi Bogus, it's just hitting 70K so still quite low, when I got the car it had eliminators on it that used to backfire quite a bit, I was always led to believe backfiring could damage the cats, Ive since fitted Corsa's
You know what, I bought the car not very far from Ipswich!!
