Default c4 sill carpeting

My very first post! Hi all, working on a 95, coupe and have run into a problem with the sills. I ordered a complete mass back set from mid america. All went fairly well until I got to the sills. After peeling the old carpet off of the plastic and trial fitting the new, I glued the carpet on. This is where the problem started. I noticed (wish i had seen it during trial fit) the "molded corner looked like it was inside out, so I peeled it back off and re-adjusted it. No way could I get it to fit. By the time I was done, I had cut, glued and ruined the piece. Thinking a mfg defect is the cause, I ordered a replacement pair from Ecklers because their catalog pic looks great (hoping the consistency would be the same between two mfg's). The new one arrived, pretty close, but not perfect (I like mid Americas tru-vet better and will return) and noticed these are molded the same. I have no idea how to mount these correctly...looks like they are shaped for the inside of the sill! I have no idea why it is curled up and molded for a flat piece. Any advice?

Why wouldn't you have tried to work out your issues with MAM? I don't understand the switching of vendors. I'd document your issues contact MAM and look for help there. Is yours a "one-of" problem? I'd hope so BUT ...... I would think they'd be very inclined to work with you. Snapshots of the deficiency I would think could help you BUT you mention the cutting, gluing and finally ruining the product so maybe the snapshots won't help.

Contact MAM and post back the results of your conversation. A conversation I'd think would do better than an email exchange.

You are so right! I should have, and did just that. Steve was very helpful and somewhat admitted they have added extra length to the sills now. Steve at MAM is making me two more. I didn't think there would be such a difference but their was...I do appreciate the blunt in my face response, I needed that. I was didn't see sills offered separately and wanted to get this done. They are available, i needed to look harder. Im such a train wreck! This has been a two year project ( NOS hunting) Figured I screwed it up and back on track now. Thanks for advice.
