Default What software for 95 LT-1

I have a 95 LT-1, 6 speed. All I want to do is read engine perimeters such as BLM etc and trouble codes. I have no desire to program anything into the computer, nor do I have the knowledge.

I used Tunerpro version 4 on my 87 auto. It worked beautiful. NOt being able to find and defs for version 4, I loaded Tunerpro RT Version 5 when I got my 95. It connects and I get good date once in a while, but mostly I get connect/disconnect which gives all kinds of errors. I am using a Windows XP with RS-232 serial cable. I have also tried the USB connection, both with a ALDL cable.

I have searched on many sites for information, they all are talking programming this and that, inserting wait states. They might as well be speaking Chinese.

Does anyone have the needed files for Tunerpro version 4 that will dependably run on a 95 LT-1 ? Or is there better software for my needs/wants as described above.

I just want to read codes (yes I know I can use a paper clip) and see engine operating perimeters.

What are you guys using on you 95 LT-1, 6 Speeds ?

Many Thanks for your help

I just got a '95 6m and am planning to look into the tune and data logging. I downloaded the Tunerpro and Tunerpro RT to start looking at the programs, so it is interesting that these programs are not working well for you.

I will have to look into the Datamaster program and/or other programs too. Any more information that people can provide would be helpful.

I have also been looking in the C4 Scan and Tune section and there seems to be some information there too.

QCVETTE;

Are you saying that Tunerpro rt is running stable on your 95 ? WHat Bin and Datastream Def's are you using and where did you find them.

Thank You

No. I am not that far yet to know if it will work or be stable for me. I have only been looking for the software and how to do it so far. I have not connected to my car yet.

I got the definitions from
http://www.tunerpro.net/downloadBinDefs.htm

I looked for stock bin files so that I could take a look at what info and parameters can be found or changed. I don't remember where I found them, but the closest I found were what I think are a stock '94 6M Corvette and a stock '95 Trans Am 6M. (They are attached below, but this site would show them as invalid files and would not upload them to attach in this post. I changed the file extension from .bin to .txt and they uploaded. So you will need to change the extensions back to .bin to experiment with them.)

Good luck.

[QUOTE=QCVette;1587512970]No. I am not that far yet to know if it will work or be stable for me. I have only been looking for the software and how to do it so far. I have not connected to my car yet.

Ok, I understand. PLEASE, post your results when you do connect to your vette in this forum, where I am subscribed. Based on reading a lot of posts here and other forums, my results are the common problem. IE; get a good connect, get some good ( or looks like good data) such as RPM normal, 0 mph speed sitting in the shop, engine temp ok etc, This lasts for a few seconds. Then Disconnect/error
and speed goes to 200 mph, temp 700 degrees and all is crazy. This lasts for a few seconds and then good connect for a few seconds. This is a continual cycle.

Not being a programmer, nor understanding anything about changing program , I am totally lost.

Tunerpro RT version 4 worked beautifully on my 87. It was simple to display engine perimeters and trouble codes. But now where can I find the def's for a 95 for Tunerprort version 4.

Thank You

Found this source....

http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...rmation-EE-EEB

There you can find a 95-Corvette bin-file for Tunerpro (RT). Maybe worth to give it a try.

Cathul;

Many thanks for the link. I am leaving tomorrow on a business trip. I will be back in the US on the 23rd. I will try those Def's then.
