Are they worth it? Who has them installed and did you get the alternator pulley too or just the main pulley? Do you think they made any difference other than a lighter wallet? Thanks in advance.
I had mien installed about 4 years ago..
Pulleys is one of teh few things that you can 'bolt-on' that actually works..
Car revved a lto freer with them and I was able to smoke the tires lonegr too. Onyl drawback is that my alt turns slower too, although I bought the March AMP Pulley System. Durign idling the car charges about 12v. During driving about 14-14.3 (normal).
I posted a similar thread recently. Like other bolt ons, some say it works, others say it doesn't. I just ordered the 2 piece pulley kit from TPIS. Chris at TPIS said that I can try the stock belt, and if it is loose get one a couple inches shorter. I'm thinkin' dude tell me new belt or not!! In a thread a started months ago another member stated TPIS sent him a NAPA belt, and thank god he listed the part number. I have a feeling Chris may have steered me wrong by not offering to send me one or give a better heads up about a new belt part number. But I won't get them until Thursday next week, so I'll find out then. He didn't help me much though. I say get 'em. In some members times they post in their sigs they shave almost a tenth and a half off . Even with light or no mods, a smoother turning engine is gonna work more efficiently and rev as quick as its potential allows. And consider time, price, potential HP, why not! :seeya
