89 Coupe, every time I flip the switch on the info center to coolant temp I have to flip the switch a couple times to get the read out on the cluster to show the coolant temp. A few seconds later it automatically goes back to volts without changing it on the info center (switch still set to coolant temp). Is this a problem with the info center or the cluster and is there a fix for it?
I have a feeling low voltage is the culprit. I went to get fuel and she wouldn’t turn over to restart. I noticed the voltage was only reading 9.4 so I assume I put the wrong alternator on as I have two of them and put the cleanest one on which came with a lot of parts I bought used. Going charge the battery and clean up the grungy alternator and put it back on and see what happens. It must have been the one that was working fine on the 400 before removing the engine for the new one.

The dash automatically switches to display voltage and that there is a problem if the voltage is lower than 11.5 volts. There should also be a red light in that area to show you there is a problem.
