Default Reverse lights don't work

I have a 94 Convertible LT1 6 speed. The reverse lights do not work. Checked bulbs and they are good. What else should i look for?

Get the car up to operating temperature and make sure the transmission is full of fluid and then "exercise" the shift lever into reverse several times. The detent ball is likely stuck and exercising it should free it. You can check and make sure that the connector is connected at the transmission.

You can remove the switch and soak the ball in the switch to free it also. Removal is challenging. Several off the vendors offer a replacement switch that has a short pigtail that works but is just slightly different. The original doesn't have the pig tail.

Exercise should do it! Replace and soak next or a replacement.

If the transmission hasn't been serviced in a long while now is the time, the detergent in the fresh fluid should help the exercising procedure.

There's many threads regarding fluids and the change procedure. Many!
