Rasping and Squeaking Engine Noise
While taking my car for a test drive after replacing my main and rod bearings and installing a HV oil pump because of low pressure, I noticed a rapid squeaking noise. It seemed to be more noticeable at lower speeds. I thought it was just the serpentine belt. When I brought it back and ran it in the garage to find the squeak, I noticed a rasping noise. Fairly rapid, about 5 times per second (if I remember right), it seemed to be coming from the distributor when I listened from the passenger side. When I moved to the driver's side, it seemed to be coming about from the middle of the head on that side. Can anyone venture a guess what it could be? Here's a video to help:
