Well getting the radiator out was'nt that bad unless you consider getting those small screws next to the air pump out easy (on the shroud). Anyway worked all day getting out all those little pebbles and crap out of the radiator and consenser.Filled the radiator and opened the vent on the thermostat housing coolant spryed right on the opti and smoked it :mad :cry . After replacing the opti from a wrecking yard , car runs about 20 degrees cooler :yesnod: I guess it was worth it in the end.
Isn't that great how they put the coolant air bleed valve so it pizz's right down onto the Opti? :cuss I made sure to stuff rags all around down in there on top the opti yesterday when I put in the 160 thermo and bypassed the tb coolant.
Well I pulled the top of the shroud loose, on the 93 to get to the 3 small screws on the side of the shroud you have to pull the air pump out.You leave the fans inplace but pull 5 bolts on the top of the shroud out.I think there is 4 bolts on each end.Pull the overflow hose top trans line and tilt drivers side of shoud up to get by the a/c lines.Sorta tricky
Sounds like it might be a little too late, but when replacing the tiny little, pain in the butt screws, just pull the tabs off where they are, reverse them and put them on the panel where the screws are normally. Now you can access all of those buggers right in font of the radiator in the intake area. The change takes about 2 minutes and future removal saves a LOT of hassle.
