Yes just use CATS tuner program to save the hypertech program and the stock once you removed the hypertech (sell it the hypertech) then just use the cats programs to load/change any setting you want.. reselling the hypertech will pay for the cats software..Much more technical than the hypertech but if you are computer literate you should be able to figure it out.
I thought LT1EDIT was the only program you could use on a 94 - 96 LT1? If CATS will work, where can it be found to buy? I realize I will need a custom cable...

  I'm too chicken to try and take a solder tool to my ECM. Looks like I'll be trying LT1EDIT. Thanks, though, for the advice on Tunercat. I'd prefer to access the PROM through the ALDL under the dash. I though Tunercat did it that way like LT1EDIT.

Well...it does access thru the aldl on your year....you need the akm cable that has the obd2 plug on it. The tunercat comes with the "connection" software along with the tdf file! (And a lot better price than lt1edit!)
Now I'm just hoping/waiting for tunercat to come out with odb2!? Any news on that?
