As usual the motor that moves the heat/ac door has gone out on my 91. I pulled the control that sits next to the a/c connection under the hood and looked inside. There is a 'door' that is connected toward the rear of the car and swings left/right. Sort of like a big 'V'.
The question I have is which direction should it be to get the a/c to work? No matter what temp you set on the dash the air that come out is hot. So I am thinking that right now it is set in the heat position, but before I go and break something I would like to know for sure.
It is covering the heater core on the left. You can see the evaporator to the left of the door. The air always goes through the evaporator and then either gets diverted into the heater core or goes on into the AC ducts on the right.
