I was ordering my drive shaft today for my project below and they said that the 1310 (dana 44) only take 400lbs of torque so they said to relook at what I'm doing. I have a LS3 427 618hp and 574 lbs torque at 4800 rpm. I called Dana/Spicer tech department and they said instantaneous torque for a 1310 is 800 lbs. Any issues out there with compatible HP/TQ, thanks
I still run 1310s in my race car and your talking 722hp and 600tq on motor with a 200 shot on top of that... 1.24 60ft and the driveshaft joints last all season no problem.... the 1350 Halfshaft joints are another story.

Does your car have a manual or automatic? Will you be running stickies at a track. If you're running street tires, not to worry. If you are going to run stickies at a track, Rkless will have a lot of advice for you. His car is just plain mean.
A local vendor for the drive-shaft or one of the Internet vendors? What diameter and wall thickness for the tube? The OE is 3 X .120 seamless for the 1310 applications. There are very few that do the .120 I believe. The OE had the silencer/dampner internally also.
