Using my GM electronics service manual, I found that my blower control module is bad and in need of replacement.
I can't seem to find one. The dealership couldn't help, I looked online, Rock Auto has one listed, I gave the number to my dealership and it comes up for a bunch of cars, all except an 1987 Corvette! I looked on the AC Delco website, and the same thing, not for a Vette. I couldn't find anything on any other site. The part number here in front of me stamped right on the actual part can't be found at all! Here it is:DELCO 16061602 STK6994J 161 6C 8610 JAPAN
I tried all combo's with that series of numbers, nothing! I'm going to a wrecking yard and take a look around! :mad
FYI; I just returned from the local pick-n-pull with another control module. I found 5 of them, same exact part, numbers and all, none of which were in a Vette! looks like any mid to late 80's GM car with Climate control use these. So if you ever need one there are plenty out there, I picked mine up for $9.30 instead of $100. Too bad The fan still won't work, I found a burnt resistor on the Heater/AC Control circuit board, it's so fried I can't tell the value on the thing! DERN! :mad
