I will be installing a 89 Camaro 700R4 in my 85 Vette in place of the failed 700R4. I plan on changing the output housing and cutting the tailshaft 5/8" so it will fit.
Do I have to worry about the tv cable? Will the one from the 89 Camaro work in the corvette?

The TV cable is different for the '85 Corvette. The TV cable from the Camaro would be the same for the '89 - '91 Corvette. You need a GM # 25521263 or use your old one, it's the same as the '85 - '88 5.0F and the L98 Camaro if you have access to any more.
