Well, it's that time of year again. I must put my beautiful 1990 corvette in storage. Any great ideas on the best way to protect her in my garage? First time to store in Michigan.
Cover her, use Sta-Bil in the engine, attach a good quality battery tender and buy a good dehumidifier to keep the garage dry. Done!
That easy! Hate to put her away. Hope it is a quick winter. Bought her a couple weeks ago with 11,000 miles. She's a gem. Will miss her.... come on SPRING!!!! Bloomington gold here I come.

Heck, if this winter is anything like last winter, you'll be back on the road so quick you'll think you went straight from fall to spring!
Just curious...Why put it in storage so early? Fall is one of the best (and prettiest) times of the year for scenic cruising
In addition to what was mentioned above, I pump up my tires to over 40 PSI, and put some large desiccant bags in the interior. I also stuff steel wool in the exhaust tips and place open containers of cut-up Irish Spring soap in the engine compartment (mice supposedly don't like it). I also put my car on dollies so I can roll it nearer to the wall. And a car cover, of course.
BTW, your '90 is a real beauty!

Cool...! What color is yours.. I cleaned mine today and made it spotless. I even took the interior trim pieces off and cleaned under them. Is that over obsessive or what?

Well, that is pretty obsessive, but I was too when I first got mine. At only 11K miles, yours is practically new!
I have never winterized a car, but reading this forum for the last 13 years allowed me to learn a lot about it.
Wash/clean the car in & out
Fill up gas tank with stabil
Place fabric softener sheets inside the Vette
Do not place on jack-stands
You can raise it, to release suspension, but wheels are to be on the floor
Cover the Vette
Protect you Vette against mice, and bugs
Regarding the battery, I would disconnect the negative, and check on it's charge one in a while. I dont trust the "tenders" to stay connected 24/7.

Thanks for the info. Getting a lot of ideas and loving all of them...
