Today I recieved the HAL shocks I ordered from summit and gave them a quick look over. The front shocks look right with a t-bar on bottom and a stud on top. The rear shocks look wrong with only an eye attachment on bottom and a stud on top (as opposed to having an eye on both top and bottom). I called summit and the told me that (based on the part number) the shocks are right and then accused me of having a car that someone changed the suspension on :mad :mad :mad. I know many of you use HAL shocks. Have any of you had this problem? The part numbers are TC3014P and TC3024P. Could someone tell me if these part numbers are right? I talked to a rep at HAL who did not have the answer and would have to get back to me tomorrow (but seemed more willing to help than summit). Thanks for the info.
I have the same part numbers on my '92 and moved them over to a '90 just last week. The rears have an eye on the bottom and a stud on top. BTW, the stock rears are bolted to a plate with the stud and that plate has two bolts attaching it to the frame. Might want to check it out, Dave
Although I don't have a 95 C4, my 88 C4 does have an eye on the bottom and a stud on top for the rear shock. The top stud bolts into a plate which gets bolted to the frame. Maybe someone with a 95 C4 can chime in.
I might feel real stupid right now.... I always check manuals prior to pulling things apart. It looks in the haynes manual like there is an eye on top and bottom. If this is not the case then it will save me a great deal of hassle. I think I need to check the car out directly. It still is confusing me a bit. Thanks for the info.
Just back from crawling under the car and now believe that I do have the right shocks!!! I guess I owe some people a big apology :) . I thank you for a quick response... before I made even more of an azz out of myself.

what are you saying? you were wrong?
You did not take a visual before calling them up and  :smash: on thier heads? :D
Ah, they will live. Now get those shocks on and give us a report of your test drive with the new shocks. Take some unposties of your new shocks while you're at it.
You're gonna love those shocks. Next you should try the Z07 swaybars. I have the same springs as your 95 and with the Hals and Z07 bars, my Vette's handling has signifcantly less roll in the corners with no increase in harshness, unless is crank the shocks to 8-9 in the rear and 6-7 in the front :)
For daily driving I have the fronts at 4 and the rears at 6.

I have the sway bars on order... waiting for them to arrive so I can change the bars and shocks at the same time. Thanks for the advice!
