Default TPS question

I've adjusted my TPS to .54 closed but I can't get past 4.07 wot. I pulled the TPS completely off the car and manually tested it and the max I can get is 4.07. Do you guys think it's shot, to my understanding I should be able to get real close to 5v.

Could this have anything to do with my consistent PITA code 33? :cuss

Thanks in advance.

Isn't 33 MAF High Diagnostic?

But, yes the TPS should be able to reach nearly 5v fully open.

Verify that the source voltage on the 3rd wire is indeed +5Vdc.

You can offset the TPS voltage at base idle to 0.65Vdc without throwing a code. This should bring up the WOT voltage. But since you can barely get above 4Vdc with the TPS off the TB it may need to be replaced.

And yes, your MAF code may very well disappear once the TPS issue is resolved.

You only need 3.5 volts to get WOT mode so you're okay.

Checked my TPS tonight. Base set to 0.54v. Wide open throttle 4v. Switch off car allows full range of motion and 5v.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm gonna go pick up a new TPS. I know the 33 is MAF high but I'm just trying to find any excuse I can to not have to replace the MAF or ECM. I've been fighting this stupid 33 for a year now and nothing I do fixes it. Since I adjusted the TPS it seemed to trigger how often the 33 pops up, with that and 65Z01's input I really think (hope) this may be the cause. I'll post the results, the 33 is a daily thing so I'll know if it fixes it or not.

Thanks again.
