Default Drivers window

I have 2 issues, one is the drivers window only rolls up jag way, motors still turns and I can manually pull it up but slides back down to half way point, motor? Or off track?, and same door lock button works for alarms but does not lock the door and the key from out side just disengages the alarm, bad tumbler for sure but what about the lock button?

You need to remove the door panel
Remove the aluminum panel
Reconnect the rod to the tumbler
And since the door regulator is probably bad or broken you
will need to replace..
I used the newer scissor type and the writup which I found here works great

Your window issue is caused by a broken ribbon. You can get them from the usual vendors for around $20. It's a fairly easy part to replace.

Would I have to reset limit switches? Never worked on power windows before

Not at all, the limit stop is already set it can be adjusted up/down with no problem 2 bolts holding it.

Yes no adjustment necessary. Like so many of the motors on our Vettes, they sense the torque when the stop is hit and turn off. The only way to "adjust" the motors is to move the stops.

Yes. you can replace the ribbon and solve your up and down issues. You would be much better off upgrading to the scissor style. I have replaced both on my '85 and they work so much better, faster and more positive. If its in the budget, go for it!
