Replacement EPROM question
I have done some minor mods (no major engine or intake work) and would like the fans to come on sooner, shift points firmer (auto tranny), shift from third to fourth @ 48 to 50 mph and the all time favorite "more power throughout the RPM range". Does this soud like a "off the shelf" Hypertech or Fastchip or is a more custom set up recommended?

I had one programmed for my 93. After seeing how it was done I don't know how an off the shelf chip can provide improvement to each and every car it is plugged into. I think my write-up is in the tech section of the forum or you can view my thoughts on my home page. My car already had some spark retard from the knock sensors at WOT, so any chip that increased the timing would have made the knock worse, and the ECm would have cut the timing even more. I feel you have to know what your engine is doing across the power band in order to improve it.
