TPIS or Hooker header install questions
I am thinking about putting on either Hooker or TPIS long tube headers.
If I go with Hookers (I think they might be cheaper)....does it come with O2 sensor holes in them? Also will I have to modify any brackets or anything to get them to fit?
If I do have to modify brackets to get it to fit, I might just pay the additional $$ and get the TPIS.
My question with the TPIS is, I hear people mention something about engine mounts rubbing against the header or something....Please tell me I don't have to do anything with the engine mount to get the TPIS to fit.....
I have a convertible....will the TPIS work with my factory X-brace, or do I have to modify the X brace to clear the headers?
And finally....does TPIS make any exhaust pieces that will connect the long tubes to the stock catback (without cats)? I'd rather not have to find a muffler shop that is willing to fabricate a pipe to connect the two on my car w/o it having cats.
I understand TPIS sells a catback that will mate to the long tubes, but I hear its a loud system (bad for top-down convertible cruising, I'd be better off with Corsa)
