Re: burning oil?? leaking coolant... :( HELP (marthpodi)
Do you find antifreeze on the the top of your engine? I had this problem and it turns out the intake manifold had loosened and the their was a major leak! #8 plug was fouling as well. Give it a check up!

You will lose some coolant in the summer from running your air conditioner. You can also go to any radiator shop to have your system pressurized to check for leaks. Let your car idle and heat up. Then look under the hood for any strange smells or smoke coming from the engine. If it is leaking you may be able to spot it. Sometimes oil only leaks while the car is running. When all else fails you can have the dealer diagnose the problem and then fix it yourself.

Glad you found the coolant problem
About the oil..I have 305 v8 that has done the same thing since new in 1982, no one knows where the oil goes...has over 300,000 miles now and still going strong :D
Just keep checking it and go on! A quart of oil every 1000 miles is cheaper than an engine overhaul
Re: burning oil?? leaking coolant... :( HELP (jackdaroofer)
Some oil loss is normal and varies with engine condition and type of components used. As for the coolant, as water contracts and expands from temperature changes, some loss will be experienced. Unless there is alot of dripping or change in engine temperature or oil pressure, I would not be too concerned. Just check your fluids regularly and refill them whenever they get low.
