SES after injector replacement
FIC send me the SS Delphi Injectors for my 89 TPI.
along with the injectors the following was replaced;
FPR, EGR valve, O2 sensor and some vac lines.
The Pump, distributor + cap/rotor/plugs and filter are new within the past 5K miles.
The car runs better than it ever has really, idle is perfect, and it pulls strongly. Cold start is improved and hot start is immediate. It does currently have a low coolant light but I'm working to fix that(recently removed and cleaned radiator while replacing A/C condenser) and I can't imagine it would throw an SES.
I was preparing the car for sale and I don't have an OBDI scan tool to figure out what this is, more importantly the 89 cars ECU are impervious to the cheap scan tools out there so I'd have to blow $$$ to get software in order to really figure this out.
Prior to replacement the old injectors ran so poorly that the car would not hot restart, had long cold starts and it ran as if 1 or 2 cylinders were dead, although even with that it didn't throw an SES
I'm hoping for some suggestions to rule out the injectors running too lean (even though they're supposed to be exact replacements) but any suggestions would be welcomed so I don't have to take this to the dealer or spend $200 on software that I'll use once.
