Default Missing bracket. Got a picture?

There seems to be a bracket that bolts to the bock to keep the coolant temp wire away from the exhaust manifold on the passenger side head.

Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like?

I looked through my FSM but couldn't find it.

This is for a 91.

Not sure if this photo will help....... from a '92 LT1. The sensor hole
is below the aluminum pipe curve.... see threads. There is no bracket
to protect the analog sensor wire. Your L98 may be different.

Interesting. Maybe there isn't a bracket there.

Thanks!

My CTS connector is all melted. It is my understanding that the sensor in Cliffs pic is for the secondary fan on my '85 which I do not have so I have never thought about fixing it. The CTS for the ECM is on the front of the intake manifold and the gauge CTS is on the Lside between 1 and 3 cylinder. Am I correct here?

I'm not sure if the sensor in Cliffs post is for the secondary fan or for the temp gauge but it is definitely then one I'm interested in.

Looking at my old block it looks like I had a bolt holding a bracket to the block that kept the wire away from the exhaust manifold. I have no idea what it looks like so trying to find it in the big old box of parts was unsuccessful assuming I even have it.

I made something to do the job but it bugs me when I can't find the original part 😀

It's very likely that originally there was a conduit clip that was used to secure the harness for mostly assembly line convenience. They could be clipped to or taped to wire or wire bundles.

This is most of the popular Delphi products that were used:

FWIW... the connector on mine came off the spade, slid down the wire, and was also melted, and was stuck to the exhaust manifold.

I picked up a replacement connector at rock auto for 31 cents.

Search for part number 6288704.
