If you back the rear end up on ramps, I don't think there's any way you'll get a jack under the front. (Might have to be careful about doing that anyway: nose might hit the ground). You'd probably have better luck using the ramps at the front and jacking up the rear. I've never done that though, so I really don't know.
To get the whole car up in the air, you can position a floor jack about six inches behind the front jacking point (watch out for the metal lines in the area) and lift the whole side of the car. Place jackstands front and rear, then do the same on the other side. You might have to do this a couple of times to get the car as high as you need to.
BTW, I see you're in Fayetteville. I'm down in Paris, but I went to UofA and continued to live in Fayetteville until '95. It sure has changed since 1988!
Nice to see another arkansawyer on the forums! Thanks for the hint.
I actually did back it up onto the ramps, and still had about 1" clearance for the front spoiler. My plan was to go in from the side and hit the front crossmember. But I think I will stick with driving front onto ramps, and jacking the back from the differential housing.
Maybe I'll see you at the Eureka Springs corvette weekend in October?

I've backed up onto ramps and then jacked the front up from under the car (with the jack handle facing the rear). Sounds strange, but it works :yesnod:
A good floor jack with the pad removed will easily fit under the front end. You can lift the entire front end up about 16" by putting the jack right under the center of the front of the vehicle and placing the jack-point under the cross-under brace. Then put your jack-stands under the frame right behind the inside edge of the front tires. :D

The only thing about that is it scares me to be lifting the car with a jack WHILE I'm under it. I guess that would work though.
My floor jack just won't fit under the front of mine, even with the car sitting on the ground and the saddle removed. I guess I need a smaller jack :D Thanks for the tips!
