I'm sure you will get all kinds of opinions on what is best, I have used them all and they preformed well the key is to change the fluid at suggested intervals. I currently run Castrol in my 93 and Amsoil in the 91.
Is the Castrol TWS 10W-60 still the fluid of choice to use in the ZF six speed trans when doing a fluid change?
Depends on who you ask.

General consensus is Amsoil now. Much smoother shifting and seems to last quite a bit longer. Also people reported less brass particles from the synchros in the gear oil during fluid changes as compared to fluid changes with the castrol.
(Note that I use AMSOIL's Torque Drive ATF, a dexron III spec fluid, in my 02 Z06 at the track).
More than happy to get AMSOIL products for forum members at dealer wholesale pricing, about 25% below retail, via the AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program. Drop me a PM if interested.
Only did one ZF6 fluid change so far (about 4 months ago) and used Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid. It shifts good and everything works fine, no problems or weird noises. But next time I am going with Amsoil because it's fully synthetic and will generally last longer, plus all the positive feedback and recommendations here at CF make it a pretty easy choice. You could also try to find some of the original GM fluid but I've heard it is hard to find and quite expensive for non-synthetic.
I think any of these is fine... change Pennzoil/GM non-synthetic more often or change Amsoil less often. But personally I would not use the Castrol 10w60.
