I've read through a number of posts here but can't find the answer I'm looking for so I hope someone can help.
I've got an 84 and the passenger window is tilted forward. In the threads and articles I've read I understand that the window stop guide is plastic and can fail and is a common cause of window alignment failures. Does my 84 have such a part? I've tried to locate in on Corvette Central but can't find it.
This window still has the old ribbon type regulator and will get replaced in time, but if I can just fix the adjustment issue in the meantime, that would be helpful.
Yes, I've ordered an FSM and am waiting on it to be deliver.
I think its the same as mine and I dont recall a plastic stop. I think there is a kinda cone shaoed thing that may have been made of plastic. Just open it up and find out. You may just neeed some adjustment of the window itself.
The window is held by 3 studs on the large plastic carrier. There is some adjustment by lowering the window till you see the nuts thru the metal plate. I just did my 85 driver window ribbon. The carrier has no adjustment because it runs on that metal post and the regulator has no real adjustment some for and aft because it's mounted to the door.
