The harmonic damper is an easy place to push/pull the crank.
You might try doing it by hand, before prying it.

I have never checked the crank shaft run-out, but doing a search, I read that after setting up the dial indicator, I "pry" the crank back and forth.
It seems that the easiest access to the crank will be from underneath at the harmonic balancer?
Or is there a better place to pry it and a recommended method?
Thanks for your patience -I am definitely learning something new.
NO PROBLEM.

I might try to remove the access cover on the front of the bell-housing and measure off the flywheel. I would CAREFULLY pry at the harmonic balancer...but read if off the flywheel which may be a bit easier....due to not a lot of room to set up a dial indicator. and prying from underneath may give better access to pry it outwards.
