on my 95 corvette, Most of the time when I turn my wipers on, they stay at LO speed and refuse to turn off. This is the 3rd GM with this problem. It also gives me trouble turning it on to where I have to turn on the washer for them to work.

I had this problem when I first got my car and it was solved after the dealer replaced the wiper switch assembly under warranty.
I doubt that you could find a new wiper switch now, but anything is possible. The part number is 10045832, known as a switch. I found a couple on eBay and a few other places...
the wiper switch can be taken apart? the stick in the column??
Oooopppps, sorry, I guess I didnt think about '90 and later. I wish my '85 had the stalk style wiper switch. Stupidest thing I have ever seen is putting the wiper switch on the door on the pre '90s
The problem may be the contacts under the cover of the wiper motor itself, thats what happened to my 90. Remove the cover and clean the contacts and any of the connectors and plugs that plug into it. I just sprayed everything under the cover with deoxit.
I just took off the cover. those 2 contacts on the side are clean. i wiped them anyway. i also sprayed both the connectors and nothing has changed.could it be a relay? if so where is it?

i scuffed the contacts just to be sure. nothing's changed. the wipers don't want to turn on and when they do they don't want to turn off. the delay doesn't work. (most of the time when i mess around with it anyway). it just wants to run on LO. this is aggravating. i tested the connector on the side and i guess it's working right when it's off, pulse, and high. the voltage switches to another terminal. cover or motor board or both?

Call Jason at Vette2Vette and get a board for the wiper motor. It's easy to change with 2 connectors and 3 screws. They fry under the hood. My washer would puke all its fluid and the wipers would stay on until I turned the ignition off. After the circuit board/cover swap it is back to wiper Nirvana.
A new one is only about a hundred bucks. Jason's are good to go for much cheaper.
I put the new cover on and thank God they work properly now. I looked closer at the old cover and noticed a couple solder joinds were worn down for some reason so I'll play with it another time.
In the mean time, where was a thin butyl seal on the cover. Anyone know where I can get some more? I have checked Lowe's, HD, advance and autozone.
indian trails. how do you know im in pc? it doesn't show up in my location
zipcode. I know from your posts, that you have a black 95 coupe - I've seen a black coupe with red GS hash marks running around town - is that you? BTW, Merry Christmas!
