Default DFI Question.....

I'm planning to switch to DFI and I have some questions....

1. Calmap 6.32 does it have a error code function?

2. If I go for WB02 what do I need to hook it up to my factory harness?

3. What does the systems costs? DFI 7.0, TECII, Speed pro .....

4. Can I use my factory harness with these systems?

/N.

1. I think so, and a lead for a MIL.

2. won't work, see #4.

3. I paid $1500 for mine (Accel DFI Gen VII) from Scoggin Dickey.

4. Nope.

What year Vette is yours? I've just about finished the install on my '85 and I'll have some pics soon and some info to share. On the Accel DFI there is a five wire "accessory" connector in the harness and it can either be used for fan control and other stuff, OR, wide band O2 sensor, but you can't have both.

The car is a -89

So...
1. If I get the 7.0 I cannot use my stock harness

2. I can not control the fans If I want to go with WB02.....

1500$ and plus a WB02 that alot of $$$$

/N.

Yep. The SpeedPro system is even more $$. And the install is a lot of work. I am basically going through my entire car rebuilding, restoring and "upgrading" and I'm spending a lot on it so I can justify the cost (and I'm not going with the wide band O2 sensor). If DFI was just a mod to a good running car then I'd have to think harder about that. The Accel seemed to me the best bang for the $ for power street touring. For all out racing I'd go with one of the others.
