Default C4 1993 Headlight Operation Anomoly

I replaced the nylon bushings in the headlight actuators about 10 years ago in my 93. Lately, the right side headlight motor continues to run for about 5 seconds after raising and lowering the headlight doors. Both sides operate in unison, so apparently there is no slippage evident for either open or close on either side.

Any ideas about how to correct what I am experiencing before I dig into it - possibly unnecessarily?

Thanks Jack

Jack,
on my 92 vette, I had a driver side headlight that wasn't working either. I ordered the nylon bushing kit, and replaced it, come to find out, where the gear actually connected to the rod, it was stripped out. I JB welded it together and it fixed the headlight, it works great now, but it does the same thing as yours. The motor continues to run although both headlights come up and down in unison and function properly. I do not know why it does this, but I just left it how it was, because it works. I also notice, when I disconnect and reconnect the battery, that headlight motor will run for a few seconds as well, but it will not move the headlight at all.
