Jesse, they noticed a leak at the water pump, which they just put on, so if they have to replace the pump, I told them to do the chain as a precaution. If this is the case, I won't have the till next week, and no racing Sunday :nonod: If its just a hose or something, then they should be done tomorrow.
BTW, he said the rear was leaking from the pinion, and their replacing the Drivers side Wheel Bearing, that you pointed out on the lift. (about 1cm of play).
I'll let you know ;)
Yep keep me posted. I will definately be there. It would be nice to have another vette there to run with. I also would like to see the gains you get from the chip we did.
I agree that the chain now was a good time to have it done.
Just make sure your base is definately at 6* and you will be fine.
I am still debating over the slicks or not. I am just afraid of the rear going now :( I am gonna run them and see what happens. I think it will still spin them a little. Guess Sunday we will see.
:nonod: I called the shop at 5:00, and my car isn't done, so I won't be able to race Sunday :cuss He said that the WP wasn't leaking, so I won't be getting the Timing Chain, but they still haven't done the wheel bearing.
Good Luck anyway, I be looking for the results Sunday night.
:( :cuss :nonod:
