Default MSD 6Al Question
Hey guys, I'm in the process of rebuilding my ignition system because well its time too and I'm having issues, but i've got that part under control...

Anyway.... I was looking to see if anybody on here knows if the MSD 6AL will replace my ICM or if it works in conjunction with the factory ICM.

It works with your ecm or an aftermarket engine management system. It will not run the motor by itself.

Not ecm. I understand that.
I'm talking about the icm. The ignition control module. aka the electrical box connected by the coil.

The ICM tells the MSD ignition box when to fire the coil.
