Is the C5 brake upgrade really worth it? I heard that the '02 Z06 basically stops on a nickel, that sounds pretty appetizing...
However, has anyone shelled out the money to do this? I was just wondering because after I get done with the motor, I might do the brakes/suspension...Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I think it is the best bang for the buck. Check out this web site. Gene posted that they have worked up a kit that uses Porsche brakes. Either way they have the adaptors. You can do a search and find all of this stuff. http://www.electro-dynamics.com/

It appears that the Porsche kit is really C5 calipers and 993 Turbo rotors. I thought that they would have tried to make an adapter to allow the "Big Red" Porsche calipers use on a C4. Those are really Brembos at 1/2 of the Brembo price.
You still can't beat the C5 upgrade for $1000 though.
Electro-Dynamics does indeed make a rotor assembly utilizing the Porsche Turbo rotor to be utilized with the C5/Z06, as well as their C5 upgrades for the C4. This is on page 4 of their website.
They also make caliper adapters for the installation of the Porsche Turbo calipers with their adapted Porsche Turbo rotor. The adapters have been developed to install the Turbo calipers and rotors on the both the early and the later C4's. These photos have not yet been posted on their website, but have been posted here on the forum, showing the complete installation. They should be posted this weekend on their website.
Pictures should be posted this weekend of the Porsche calipers and rotors for the C4's, both the early and later series. It will be page 5 at http://www.electro-dynamics.com when uploaded.
Pricing has been posted on page 4 for both the rotor hats and Porsche rotors for the C4's using C5 calipers.
Electro-Dynamics is interested in doing another group purchase if enough forum members are interested.
