I don't mind spending on plug wires but I wouldn't buy some high tech stuff for plugs. I usually toss them out within 2 years. As to plug wires, how handy are you? I have a set of MSD wires that have no ends. I had to crimp it. I bought the crimper and cut them to length. AS to plugs, I just use some decent NGK plugs.
It has aluminum heads, I have a new set of msd street fire 8mm bought for my chevy truck that is long gone. Just have to figure out how to crimp the ends on, getting ready to check you tube. I've used Taylor wires in the past and was really happy with them (had a 92 stang and went through 2 sets of accel in 1 year then switched to Taylors). Which NGK plugs are you using?

If it is stock, go look up the chart. I have AFR heads so it doesn't matter what I use.
ASSUMING the boots are good, all you need is a razor blade and a bunch of good terminals. IF that is the route you want to go, I would put you wire looms in place first then get the wires going so you can cut to length. Being they are not new, I would test them first. Find a car they can fit on, run it in a garage and spray a fine water mist AROUND the plug wires. Any light, toss.
The wires are new, opened the box and put on the shelf because I sold the truck. The ends have never been crimped on so they should be good. Just wish I had sprung for the better crimper.
Thanks I'll check that out. It's stock, not sure about the internals. It's got 180k miles on it and runs strong.
If you want to know the internals, drive for 3000 miles, send oil sample for analysis to see if anything is worn out. Before I go there, I would run a compression and leakdown test. At 180K, I don't hold any high hopes for that motor.

Unless you want to swing by Milwaukee, that is what you got, that is what you work with. I have the MSD one and it is nice.
Thanks guys, I got the MSD wires made up and installed. The tool they came with worked great ordered a Taylor cap and rotor and used the AC plugs. Everything went good and boy did it pep the car up but no. 2 was a pain, I think they built everything around that plug
Next is a smog pump delete since mine is making a little noise. What do you have to do to plug the lines on stock manifolds?
The threaded end of the tubes on the manifold is a 1/2" NPT thread. Just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a couple of 1/2" caps. USe some anti-seize on the threads.

Thanks, my weekend projects are piling up. I have to go measure for the bracket and fab something up
