Putting an LS2 into a C1. I have a NOS manual rack but the LS has the power steering pump. How much hassle to convert the manual rack to power steering rack and if done, would the two be compatible ? Too twitchy to drive ?

The LS power steering pump works find with the C4 rack. Who makes the manual rack for a C4?

I was just interested to know who made it for future reference.

I bot it as part of an install kit from a company in Orange CA called "Flat Out". Again, I was thinking it to be a manual rack and it is instead very
much a power unit. Flat Out offers a kit for installing a C4 steering/suspension system in a C1. Since I was buying the kit from them, I elected to buy the hub to hub C4 front suspension/steering from them as well.
Ironically that is the same company I was looking into getting a front suspension kit for my truck project from.
I just bot my kit and it arrived pretty much "as advertised". Talked a lot to Mike and Dan about my project. I guess Dan has done many and seemed really knowledgeable about a bunch of important particulars. Kinda got to like both of them. The kit looks complete and the directions look like even I could follow them. Got a set of Alden Coil Overs and those look really well machined and high tech. Sand blasted the aluminum parts and got them powder coated matte black. Equipped with black urethane bushings and with the rest of the brake parts spray painted matte black using caliper paint, I'm hoping the car will still appear pretty stock, to the casual observer.

Believe me, nobody makes a manual rack for C4's.
But several folks will make racks to your specification with proper pivot points, etc so you don't have bump steer. But even then it will require fab to fit the rack in the car.
I had Unisteer build me a manual rack a while back. I will be selling it in the near future because I'm going back to power.
