Default Hash Marks

I'd love to get some hash marks over my front wheels on my silver '85. Has anyone had a good experience putting some on? Are they decals or paint?

Later!

I used decals from MAD. They were a snap to put on.

they are decals. make sure to put them on in the shade with soapy water and use a credit card or plastic squegee to get all the air bubbles out. once the water dries, remove the application tape. don't get in a hurry, be patient so you don't pull it off or stretch it.

Default I got mine from Ecklers, but ended up painting the marks

My dad does paint/body work, and I had handed them to him to put on when he painted it. He decided not to use them but use them as a template and paint them on. Worked out great, because now their under the clearcoat. No wax build up, and they will never peel off, wrinkle... etc, and they are nice'n shiny.

But did you realize that on your web site http://www.corvetteforum.net/c5/raysur your NOSE IS HANGING OUT INTO ONCOMING CANYON TRAFFIC??? :D :D  Just kiddin', I'm just messin' with ya. But I'm also glad you didn't get hit!

What color decals do you guys think would look good with a silver paint job? I'm not colorblind, but I might as well be when it comes to matching :jester

I just got mine a few days ago and im going to wash my car and then put them on. So I should put them on when the car is still wet? I a little worried about how to put them on and I might mess them up! How far apart do they go? It tells me to put them .875 gap away? What does that mean? .875 of an inch away?

There is a 7/8"gap between the two stripes. Check out these threads for more precise measurements and some visual keys:

Good luck, mine are in the mail. Can't wait to get them!

Default Sure.... I'lll do my best...

383 Eagle Crankshaft (nice one)
Bored .030
MOTOR MODS

Forged Eagle Rods
TRW Hyp. Pistons / Moly Rings (Full Floating)
ARP Hardware - Heads, Crank Pulley Bolt, etc.
Decked the Block .025 (to get the pistons out of the hole)
8" Balancer - Chrome
Ported / Polished Stock Heads - increased cc's of Combustion Chamber to lower compression to 8.5:1 (give or take).
Crane Cam - 454 Lift / 272 dur (I think - need to verify) - not a large cam but bigger than stock.
Ported Upper Plenem - pretty much raped it.
Siamesed Lower Intake - Very Nicely Done
Stock Headers Ported - raped these too - (changing to Long Tubes soon)
Stock TB - (changing to twin 58mm soon)
Ford 35 lb High Impedance Injectors (+ dropping resistors)
ATI Procharger P600B with 2.55 pulley (I get 12lbs @ 5,000 RPM's)
ATI Dual Core Frontmount Intercooler
Rebuilt 4+3 Totally - works great
Stock 3.07:1 Rear Gears (probably keeping these or maybe go 3.54:1)
Carbon Fiber Clutch Disc / Borg Warner Pressure Plate
Borla XR-1 3.5 inch single muffler - in Cat. Conv. Location - LT1 Tips out
Stock In Tank Pump w/ Vortech T-Rex inline.
MSD Superconductor Wires and R42 plugs (stock is 43)
Ajustable FPR
Vortech FMU - not installed yet
MSD 6A - not installed yet
Ed Wright (Fastchip) Custom Programmed Eprom
Robert Shaw 160 Degree Thermostat
Replaced Aux fan with 16inch

I probably forgot something, but I'm not finished with it (never will be) but thats the main ones.

What I like about the setup? 383 is a NICE change, great low end and the SC keeps the party going.

What I don't like about the setup? LOTS OF HEAT, but am working on this issue.

A page with some pics from about a year ago (old) Before the Rebuild / SC (nice motor pics)

I have or can get virtually any color hash mark anyone may want for their C4. They are the same exact size as from MidAmerica, except these come on a masking back to make it easier to apply, so as not to wrinkle them up or mess them up, and I will send you instructions and a pic to guide you. They are the same ones my car has in the pic. The free shipping will not last much longer though, and the price will go up just a couple of more dollars, but they cost $25 through MAD + shipping, anyone interested email me at jusbad92@msn.com and I can give you more info if needed. I even sent one guy a pair of tan ones to match his tan interior, and I also have colors like orange, lt. blue, charcoal, many many colors.

I thnk I messed up putitng my hash marks on! D@MN IT! :mad :cuss I'm waiting for it to dry, but they might turn out alright, I hope so! The top part of the marks aren't exactly making a straight line, and the bottom might be off a little bit but I made sure the space inbetween was correct. Hopefully they turn out alright, if not when I rip them off, will any paint come off?

We have a local shop that does our club stickers do hash marks. Red Rocket had given her a GM set and she made a file to use so we can get them in any color and she makes them for both sides. I bought 2 sets the last time I got them. I messed up one by not cleaning the area thoroughly first.
